What a battery installation costs

These are four typical installations with indicative prices, VAT included. They are here so you can get a sense of the cost before asking us for anything. We give you a fixed price for your own home, with no obligation, once we have studied your setup.

Four sizes, everything included

Battery, inverter, materials, installation, travel and paperwork. No surprises at the end.

What is included, and what can move the price

Included in the price

  • Our own LiFePO4 battery, with BMS and telemetry
  • Victron Multiplus inverter and solar charge controller
  • Communications (Cerbo GX) and access to the monitoring portal
  • Installation materials: outdoor, PV and AC up to the consumer unit
  • Installation and commissioning by our own team
  • Travel
  • Paperwork and legal registration
  • VAT

What can change it

  • The state of your consumer unit and existing electrical installation
  • Distance: the price covers roughly 150 km of round trip
  • Civil works, long cable runs or difficult access
  • Whether you already have a compatible inverter, which then is not needed
  • Grants and subsidies in force, which come off the total

Price per kWh, so you can compare

Many manufacturers only advertise the price of the battery itself. So you can compare like with like, here are both figures.

CapacityFull installation€/kWh turnkey€/kWh battery only
15 kWh6.600 €440 €219 €
30 kWh8.600 €286 €176 €
45 kWh10.800 €239 €167 €
60 kWh12.700 €211 €157 €

The right-hand column is the price of the battery on its own, and it is the one to use if you are comparing against another brand's advertised «€/kWh». The middle one covers the whole working installation.

Expanding is far cheaper than starting

The first block of capacity is the expensive one, because it carries the inverter, the installation and the paperwork. After that, each additional 15 kWh costs between €1.900 and €2.200 including VAT. So if you are torn between two sizes, the larger one usually wins: the system is modular and can be expanded later, but it is cheaper to do it up front.

We install them ourselves

We do not sell the battery on its own. The price always includes installation and commissioning by qualified SolarBox personnel. The battery-only price per kWh above is a comparison reference, nothing else.

We work this way because a home battery is a power electrical installation: safety, performance and the 10-year warranty all depend on it being properly mounted, properly configured and correctly registered.
